THE LOST P.B.C. SONGS: | ||
Apart from their original LPs and the bonus tracks on their CD reissues, there are also many hard-to-find rarities in the PBC catalog. Four of the earliest PBC recordings were included on the rare 1967 Vault records compilation WEST COAST LOVE-IN, while a remake of the Ashes song "Roses Gone" can be found on the 1969 Do It Now Foundation compilation FIRST VIBRATION. Other PBC songs were also released on soundtrack albums for the movies RUN ANGEL RUN, ANGELS FROM HELL and JUD, all of which were scored by Stu Phillips and are now impossible to find. Thankfully, some nice 60's psych collectors out there reissued some of these tracks (and others) on a "NUGGETS"-styled compilation titled FILLING THE GAP; sadly, this is also very difficult to find nowadays. I will continue to post edited mp3s of these songs as a service to all fans of the PBC. I'm going to be switching the track line-up regularly, so please keep visiting! |
